Pregnancy Photos

So I am usually a very skeptical person when it comes to pregnancy photos, especially ones of me in the end of my pregnancy or the beginning for that matter. But I have this really good friend who has wanted me to let her do them. I finally consented on the terms that none of my bare skin be shown. That is something nobody wants to see even my husband and he has to!!! I do want to thank Elaine very much for being patient with me and my kids. She did such a good job. These photos are something I will always be grateful she talked me into.
I made this quilt when I was pregnant with Noah. I could never give it away. I guess I was hanging on to the hope that I would have a little girl of my own.
This is Malaya's blessing dress. It was also my blessing dress. I made a long slip and the bonnet for her. I was surprised that I could figure out the pattern, clothing patterns are not really my cup of tea.
It has these bright little pink flowers all over it. You can definitly tell this material was made in the 80's, but I LOVE THIS DRESS!!!!!!
I love these shots more than I thought I would. Please just don't focus in on how large my expanded belly got.
Reading a children's book (only if you couldn't tell)
Way cute!! I heart my new baby!
Here is my baby just awake from his nap.He is such a cuddle bug! He loved to talk to the baby in my belly.

He is sooo cute!! What mommy wouldn't want this to love! As for the older brother, he wanted nothing to do with the camara or me.
Thanks Again Elaine!!!!!

What a busy week!

I can't believe we have had Malaya at home for a week! She has been such a good baby I can't complain at all. She already sleeps 3 and 4 hours at a time during the night. I have to say that it is GREAT being an all nursing mom! I never had the opportunity with my very stubborn little boys and I am loving it!!!
This is Malaya in the hospital before we left. She was so tiny she was drowning in this outfit. I actually bought her another outfit to bring her home in and the pants were as long as she was. It was a good thing I packed something else.
The carseat as we are leaving the hospital. I love little babies snug in their carseats. I have to say I am pretty pleased with myself. I made the floral head pad in her car seat. I had to just look at one I bought and go from there. It turned out pretty good if I do say so. I also made a matching hooter hider and wipe case.
My little sister Halli is absolutely in love with Malaya. If I go to my parents I have to wait until she gets home from school so that she can see her. The day I brought her home she asked if she could bring her to school for show and tell. The next day she had already asked her teacher. We will be going to school at the end of the month. She is estatic!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!! Of course we had to make sure that she had an outfit for the Fiesta Bowl. What a cute group of fans!!!
I think she really was the smallest fan this year. She was drowning in her pants if you couldn't tell. Oh but she is so stinkin cute!!!!
Gavin is the best big brother! He told me he has now learned how to hold her like a big kid. That means he thinks he can stand up and hold her with her head on his shoulder. He is pretty sweet though. He likes to cover her up with his Dee Dee. I don't think he ever offered the Dee Dee to Noah so it is a pretty big step for him
What a cute smile! Even if it is just gas!!! I always tell Cort when our kids smile like this in their sleep, that they are talking to his mom. I know she took care of her before she came, and knew how much I wanted to have a little girl. Even though I never knew her personally.
Just a nice relaxin night with the family!
What a good lookin group!!! I am so lucky to have the family that I have. I have three beautiful children and the best spouse ever. I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I am thankful everyday especially this last week for the opportunity that the Lord has given Cort and I to bring these children into this world and to raise them.
It has been a wonderful week and we are so grateful to have Malaya in our home. She has been so good. It is very interesting how after you have each kid that you can't imagine your life without them. We love her and when I say that I mean some people in our family just can't get enough!

Happy New Year!!!

We had the best new year this year!!!
On January 1, 2010 we got to welcome our very precious little girl into the world!
She came at 12:18pm after about 24hours of just waiting.
Malaya June Peterson
6lbs 12 ozs
19in
The very proud papa. Can't believe this is #3!!
A very tired Mama! As you can see by my lovelyness(if that is even a word) it ended up being a longer birth than I planned. Our little girl! I can't believe she is here. She is such a little tiny thing.
Anybody with kids can tell you that it is a little crazy to have your older kids come and visit, especially if you have a Noah. He has been so excited for her to come I don't think she will ever be left alone. Sometimes he can be scary so I have to be very watchful over them when they are in the same room.
Here is the biggest brother. He is such a sweetheart. Gavin has always been nervous about me when I am in the hospital. At least this time he would talk to me and even sit on the bed with me . Since we have been home he has really taken on the role of protector. Cort and I have been amazed at how much he seems to have grown up since we brought her home.
Here is the prettiest girl I have ever seen!!! (YES I am very biased). And she isn't spoiled or anything!! We are so excited for her to be here if you haven't heard. Thank you to all of our family and friends who have helped us out with the boys during the craziness of the last few weeks.

Naughty or Nice?

So we attended our ward christmas party on Saturday night. It was fun and we enjoyed the dinner like anybody else with two very energetic boys. At least at this ward dinner the people who were sitting by us didn't get up and move across the gym to a new table after our kids spilt their water for the third time. (Yes this really happened to us at Halloween!)
The primary kids sang a couple of christmas songs and there is nothing like your child singing about Jesus to get your already full tearducts rolling. Gavin did not really want to participate but his brother who is not in primary yet, did! So here they are not singing!!!

Of course what kind of Christmas party would it be without Santa. Since Thanksgiving we have been asking the boys what they want for Christmas especially what they wanted Santa to bring them. Gavin has made up his mind and thinks that what he wants is already under the tree. He told my mom that it had to be there because the shape of the box was square just like the shape of what he wants. So this is Gavin telling Santa that all he wants is a 4 year olds favorite Wii with Mario and Sonic.
Noah has had his mind set on a green dinosaur that walks and roars and maybe a Buzz Lightyear. He will tell anybody this. So we really tried to talk up Santa to him so that he would not be scared and would sit on his lap. We thought we had the green light until it was his turn to sit on the lap. This picture does not even do justice to his first reaction to the Big Man. You can see his legs wrapped around Cort in the picture. When Cort first went to set him on Santas lap he thrust backwards and with flaming red cheeks( you can see them in the pic) he screamed at the top of his lungs NOOOOO SANTA!!!!!!!! It was the most hilarious thing I have seen in a long time. Everyone in the room was laughing except Noah. Then being the torturous parents we are we made him get a picture with Santa anyway.

The funniest part of the whole thing was that the Santa was Cort's dad. Yes, Noah's best friend in the whole world. If only he knew that! I was kind of worried to let my kids see Grandpa/Santa, because I didn't want them to know it was him and then have to explain. Well Noah obviously did not catch on, and after we left the room he kept saying over and over "I not see Santa anymore!" The kicker was as we were leaving, the bishop who knew it was Granda/Santa asked Gavin if he saw Santa and did he tell him what he wanted? Gavin said " Yea, that Santa was brown just like my Papa Pete!!" Cort and I just looked at each other and had to smile. He still really didn't get it so we are safe with the secret!
What a night and what a great Christmas Season. Who ever thought having kids would make you crazy one minute and ready to pee your pants the next!

Turkey Cookies!

Gavin and I were looking for fun turkey day cookies and we found this idea on recipezaar. We bought everything to make them for Thanksgiving but didn't get them done. Instead we made them for the BSU game on friday and took them to share with our family.

These are the most willing and happy helpers

What is more fun than cookies and candy! Oh yeah and licking the knife every time you frost a cookie. So for all those we shared with you are enjoying alittle more than you thought.

This is Noah's finished product! I hope you can see the turkey in them! He thoroughly enjoyed the candy

These are Gavin's cookies. He didn't want to put any of the hot m&m's on his. He did a really good job! But I think he enjoyed the frosting a lot!

These are what they were supposed to look like. We had so much fun! They can't wait until it is time to make the nexy batch! It was such a fun weekend with all of our family. We hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving as well!

Is it almost Halloween or Thanksgiving?

I know Halloween has long come and gone and everyone has already posted pictures of their cute kids. Well since we have had some serious computer issues that thankfully have been worked out (thanks family) I thought since it is not quite Thanksgiving I would try to update us a bit.
We had one of the most relaxing and fun Halloweens I think we have had since we had kids. Usually we are trying to visit both grandparents, trunk or treat, and trick or treat in our neighborhoods in a matter of a few hours. This year we went to Grandpa and Grandma Petersons trunk or treat on wednesday. We visited my parents early on saturday. Then we made it to our trunk or treat and decorated our door. Last but not least we came home and Cort was able to take the kids around the neighborhood with their cousins. We invited his family over to have spudnuts and hang out. It was a lot of fun and we will definitly do the spudnuts again! YUM!!!
I think one of the nicest things about the night was that BOTH of my children enjoyed wearing their costumes. I hate when you buy these adorable costumes and they are horrible about wearing them. I am a bit biased but I think I had some of the cutest kids out there. I love the dragon costume and my dragon this year was so stinkn cute!! Gavin has officially hit big boy status. This year I was not allowed to have an opinion about what he was going to be. It was lucky that his cousin Zach had a Buzz Lightyear costume from years past. Thanks Megan!!

We didn't even plan this, but the boys' best friends from our ward both came as the same thing as them. Those are the two fiercest dragons I have ever met!
At Grandpa and Grandmas with uncle Doug and Aunt Halli. Starting off the night!

My cute little boys at our house on the hay. Best Friends!!!
